Our Story
My Story
I've always had a passion for textiles and beautiful fabrics. These past years, I found myself becoming increasingly drawn to textiles : their weight, texture, movement, and the way even the smallest differences in construction could completely transform a garment.
What started with occasion wear gradually extended into everyday clothing, and eventually into a much deeper appreciation for craftsmanship, materiality, and the thoughtful work behind the pieces we choose to wear every day.
Over time, this became the foundation of the brand.
Why Avenue Tisser
I created this brand as a tribute to the tisserand, the French word for weaver, a word I have always loved for the way it sounds. More than that, it represents something I deeply admire : the quiet patience and skill of those who once brought fabrics to life thread by thread.
Like them, I believe clothing should be made with intention, care, and respect for the process behind it.
How I Design
When designing each piece, I think carefully about material, construction, and form. I am drawn to clean silhouettes, subtle details, and garments that feel effortless yet considered.
Rather than creating pieces that follow trends too closely, my intention is to create clothing that can live with you over time, pieces that feel relevant through simplicity, comfort, and ease.
I want the garments to be worn often, loved naturally, and kept for years rather than seasons.
The Materials I Choose
Fabric has always been at the centre of this brand. Inspired by the traditional relationship between the tisserand and cloth, I focus primarily on natural fibres such as cotton and french linen.
I choose these materials not only for their beauty, but for the way they feel against the skin, the way they breathe, and the way they soften and evolve over time. To me, these fabrics carry character, honesty, and a sense of permanence.
While I'm developing new in-house designs, I also carefully select complementary garments that reflect the same aesthetic and quality I believe in. This means I can continue offering a curated collection of beautiful, wearable pieces while bringing new original designs to life.
A Responsible Approach
From the beginning, I wanted this brand to exist responsibly. Not only through the clothing itself, but through every part of the process behind it.
I care deeply about creating in a way that is environmentally conscious, sustainable, and ethical. That means paying attention not only to the fabrics we source, but also to the people involved in making each garment. I believe the work of seamstresses and artisans deserves respect, fair wages, and thoughtful working conditions.
I also wanted the same values to extend beyond the clothing itself. Our packaging is 100% biodegradable, our wrapping paper is acid-free, and we aim to use nickel-free accessories wherever possible.
For me, sustainability is not a single decision. It is a mindset that should guide every detail of the brand with consistency, care, and intention.
